Even though it is very easy to play carrom there are certain rules and regulations to be followed while playing this game! Here in this article you will be able to get some idea as of what are the rules that are to be followed while playing this game.

Generally it is a known-fact that this game can be played by either two or four persons. Arrange the carrom men on the centre circle of the board with the red queen at the centre. The white coins should be arranged in such a way that it should form a 'Y' shape with two sides focusing directly towards the corner pockets.

Both the players sit on his side of the carrom board and can only strike from that side. After the end of the tossing players will come to know as of which coin they should concentrate on. The main aim of the game is to sink all of your carrommen, by the heavier 'carrom striker' in any of the pockets before your opponent.

While keeping the striker on the board to strike, it must touch the base lines, covering the end circle completely, or it shouldn’t touch at all also it should not touch the diagonal arrow line.

Next is the style of hitting the coin i.e. the grip or position held. Many follow a different set of shooting styles and it differs according to people. In general, it is better to adjust your body to see the line of your aim which allows you to shoot the coin comfortably. Generally there are four styles of hitting the coin with different fingers and it includes the following: index finger, middle finger, scissor shot and back shot. Thumb finger is used for back shot.

Movement is very important, except your hand no part of your body may cross the imaginary transverse line nor may your elbow obtrude over the edge in front of you it also includes your feet or knees as well and may not leave your quadrant.

A person will be winning the carrom board by two points i.e. when he gets the queen and all the coins, because all his coins taken by his challenger. He happens to lose the board if he cannot pocket any of the remaining coins.
Finally when all the carrom coins are pocketed by a player along with the queen then he is declared as the winner.
