Fork (chess)
When one piece, generally a knight or pawn, concurrently attacks two or more of the opponent's pieces, often specifically called a knight fork when the attacker is a knight. Some sources state that only a knight could give a fork and that the term double attack is correct when another piece is involved, but this is by no means a universal usage.
Filipino carrom
A cued alternate of carrom is also played in the Philippines, and is called "karambola" and "pool table". It is related to novuss, but both players use the same puck for striking with their cues, and only twelve object disks (six per player) are used. The table is usually rotateable so that the players will not have to move to where they will strike the puck, and just turn the table to a position they are comfy making a shot at.
