Anna Muzychuk won gold medal in World Junior Girls Championship
Padmini Rout has won bronze medal in World Junior Girls Chess championship held at Chotowa-Czarna in Poland. In the final round game with Deysi Cori of Peru ended in a draw. Padmini had beaten Alisa Melekhina of United States. Gold medal was won by Anna Muzychuk of Slovenia, who scored a victory over Ekaterini Pavlidou of Greece.
In open championship which was held simultaneously, Dmitry Andreikin of Russia won gold medal ahead of Compatriot Sanan Sjugirov. Bronze medal went to Darius Sweicz of Poland. Indian hope, Parimarjan Negi finished 11th in the tournament with a draw against Maxim Matlakov of Russia.
